Booking Information

Project Description

This project is a joint accommodation and train ticket promotion offered by Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation (THSRC) and participating hotels. When booking a room through a participating hotel’s official website, guests may add discounted reserved-seat tickets for THSR Standard Class or Business Class. The hotel deposit and the discounted THSR ticket fare will be charged at the time of booking.

Fare Discounts

Adult Tickets: Reserved seats in Standard Class and Business Class are offered at 22% off (78% of the full fare) on weekdays, and 15% off (85% of the full fare) on weekends and during peak travel periods. Additional promotional offers may be available from time to time.
Concession Tickets: Passengers eligible as seniors, passengers with disabilities, or children are entitled to 50% off the full fare.

Payment and Online Refund Policy

At the time of payment, the full original fare will be charged online. After the stay is completed, the discounted fare difference will be refunded online. If the guest does not stay, no refund will be issued.
If tickets have already been collected and are refunded at a THSR ticket counter before the travel date, the counter will refund the discounted fare, and the remaining difference will be refunded online by the system.
If the order is canceled before the travel date, the full original fare will be refunded.
Online refunds will be processed within 14 days after check-out. The actual crediting time depends on the issuing bank. A refund notification email will be sent once the refund is completed. If the refund is not received after the above period, please contact the hotel’s customer service for assistance.

Policy Description

Guests must independently complete all procedures through the participating hotel’s official booking system, including ticket purchase, seat reservation, itinerary changes before ticket collection, and cancellation of the hotel booking (hotel stay and THSR tickets must be canceled together).
The available travel dates, time slots, and train numbers are subject to what is displayed in the hotel’s booking system. Seats are automatically assigned by the system. Seat selection is not available, and adjacent seating for passengers in the same order is not guaranteed. Due to differences in booking system design, some hotel systems do not support same-day ticket add-on purchases. Please contact the hotel directly for details.

Ticket Add-on Restrictions

One of the departure or arrival stations must be the station located in the hotel’s area. Guests may purchase one-way or round-trip discounted reserved-seat tickets for Standard Class or Business Class.
Eligible travel dates include the check-in date (including the day before) and the check-out date (including the day after).
The number of discounted tickets available for purchase equals the number of guests per room. Child, senior, and concession tickets may be added together.
Seat reservation availability follows THSRC regulations. Currently, seat reservations are open from 29 days prior to the travel date (inclusive) up to 60 minutes before departure. Every Friday and Saturday, reservations may be made up to four weeks in advance through Sunday. During special holidays, reservations may open earlier; please refer to the THSRC official website. If the hotel booking is made earlier than 29 days before travel, discounted tickets may still be purchased in advance. Seat reservation can be completed later once THSRC opens seat allocation. Advance purchase secures the discount; however, seats are not held, and availability is subject to actual reservation results.
Business Class tickets are not available for the Nangang–Taipei, Nangang–Banqiao, and Taipei–Banqiao sections.

Ticket Collection, Changes, Cancellations, and Refund Notes

Ticket Collection:
- Please collect tickets at THSR station ticket counters, ticket vending machines, convenience stores (a service fee of NT$10 per ticket, NT$20 for round-trip tickets applies), or via the THSR T-EX Mobile Ticketing App. Note 1: For detailed rules regarding senior and disability tickets, ticket splitting, and mobile ticketing, please refer to the T-EX App “Ticket Collection Instructions”.
  Note 2: Tickets collected via the T-EX App must be changed or refunded at a THSR station ticket counter.
- Passengers purchasing concession tickets must present valid identification during purchase, ticket collection, and boarding.
Ticket Changes and Cancellations:
Changes to tickets may not alter the travel route. For postponements, time changes, or cancellations, please follow the applicable instructions below.
- Tickets Not Yet Collected: Please log in to the hotel booking system using the order number and password, and complete the process no later than 30 minutes before departure. Late requests will not be accepted for refunds. Any exceptions are subject to the hotel’s system settings and announcements.
- Tickets Already Collected: Tickets that have been collected (including via the T-EX App) cannot be changed or canceled online. Please bring the ticket to a THSR station ticket counter no later than 30 minutes before departure, or return it at the original convenience store of collection. Refunds will be issued in cash after deducting handling fees. No refunds will be provided if passengers fail to collect tickets in time and miss their scheduled train.

Hotel Booking Cancellation:
Hotel bookings must be canceled together with the discounted THSR tickets; tickets may not be retained separately. If discounted tickets are used independently in violation of project rules, THSRC reserves the right to recover the fare difference.
- Tickets Not Yet Collected: Please log in to the hotel booking system and cancel the booking at least 60 minutes before departure. Please cancel the THSR tickets first; otherwise, ticket refunds will not be processed.
- Tickets Already Collected: Tickets that have been collected (including via the T-EX App) must be returned to a THSR station ticket counter or the original convenience store of collection no later than 36 minutes before departure. Refunds will be issued in cash after deducting handling fees. Please provide the refund receipt to the hotel staff to complete the booking cancellation, or cancel directly online. Discounted THSR tickets will be refunded in full after handling fees. Hotel deposits will be processed according to the hotel’s policies.

Typhoon-Related Refund Policy:

From the issuance of a marine typhoon warning until its cancellation, passengers holding tickets for trains during this period may collect their tickets no later than one day after the travel date. Unused tickets may be refunded within one year from the travel date at any THSR station without handling fees.

National Travel Card (GPN Card) Information:

Discounted tickets purchased under this project are considered part of the hotel accommodation fee and are charged directly by the hotel. National Travel Card reimbursement will be processed together with the accommodation expense. Please confirm eligibility with the hotel prior to booking.

THSR TGo Membership Information:

When purchasing discounted tickets through a participating hotel’s booking system, passengers may enter their THSR TGo membership number, national ID number, or verified mobile phone number to earn reward points.
Points cannot be accrued or retroactively claimed if the TGo membership information is not provided or is entered incorrectly at the time of purchase.
